Matteo Salvini is an Italian politician who served as Deputy Prime Minister of Italy and Minister of the Interior from 1 June 2018 to 5 September 2019. Since 2013, he has been the Federal Secretary of the Lega, the Federal Congress that represents all members of the Northern League. The party is responsible for the political and programmatic line of the Northern League and assesses the activities carried out by the Nations.
